About this item

Sofa or Daybed by Coen de Vries for Devo, Dutch Design 1952

Super rare sleeper sofa with armrests by Dutch designer Coen de Vries from 1952. Coen de Vries was probably one of the most important Dutch industrial furniture designers of the mid-century. He designed several pieces of furniture with his “musical scale” coat rack as one of his most famous.

The sofa can be transformed in a daybed by extending the armrests and using the back cushions as a mattress. To make some more room on the daybed, the iron back can be tilted backwards.

The sofa has new fabric and is in very good condition for its age.
